A strand of doilies is a super cheap and easy DIY decoration! I used doilies for my friend’s wedding shower, but they’d be perfect for Valentine’s Day or — reminiscent of snowflakes — last-minute Christmas decorations. In fact, I’m planning to re-use a few of these strands and add a little winter to our apartment.
Supplies:
Paper doilies (mine were 8 inch and came in a huge pack at the dollar store!)
White string
Glue stick
1. Fold all the doilies in half.
2. Apply glue to the inside of the folded doily. If you plan to hang the strands inside, it only takes a dab. Because I was hanging mine outside in a bit of wind, I applied glue along the crease (to keep it in place on the string) and more to the edges.
3. Fold the doilies in place over the string, leaving a couple inches of string between each doily. Stack them accordion style to keep them from getting tangled.
4. Tie strings to hang (or use tape or tacks). They look lovely on walls, ceilings and even trees!

LOVE THIS! I was looking for a last minute decoration idea for a bridal shower I am throwing tomorrow. I just realized that I didn’t spend a lot of time on decorations. This will be perfect! Added bonus I have everything:) Thanks for sharing!
