Celebrating

Happy Fourth of July!

It’s been awhile. Greg and I have been busy with lots of celebrations lately — I love it! Holidays, birthdays, showers and graduations! After today’s holiday, we’ll attend a Friday wedding, and I’ll co-host a bridal shower the following weekend. You can count on a few pretty photos from that soirée!

Meanwhile, here’s a glimpse into the things we’ve been making:

Watermelon carving for my in-laws’ 35th wedding anniversary.

A South Pasadena art print for a friend who received his masters from UCLA.

A shower card for Greg’s co-worker. I gave a few details on a similar card.

Banoffee pie for my mom’s birthday. I used Epicurious and Paula Deen as references.

Rolo fudge brownies for my father-in-law on Father’s Day. Mine were tasty, but I messed up the recipe in several places and ended up improvising. If you’re better at following a recipe than me, you can find the original at Cookies & Cups.

A delicious creme brulee tart for my mother-in-law’s birthday.
