To wrap up my shower posts, here are a few shots of my favorite decorations — the four different banners I made for the party!
For the Nat <3 BJ banner, I used the same letters as for my biscuit bar in October. Then I just added the heart and bird graphics from the shower invite!
Behind one of the tables, I hung black and white photos of the couple, attached with clothespins. If you don’t have the software to convert photos to black and white, most store photo departments can do it for you (and add the white border, too!). To those, I added a strand of doily garland.
For a shower game, I hung even more photos with clothespins. These are photos of the bride and groom as kids, each labeled and held safely in place with photo corners. The guests guessed how old they were in the photos (and oohed and ahhed!).
In case you missed my obsession with hanging decorations, you can also check out my circle streamers, bat garland and hanging jar lanterns. More to come, I’m sure!
Hi, I love your display of the photos with the clothesline. Did you play this as a game at a bridal shower? If so, can you give the details of how you played and if you had quiz sheets? I’m planning my friend’s shower and would love to use this idea!! Thanks 🙂
Lindsay,
Yes, it was a shower game. The photos all had letters on them, and guests were given some time (while snacking) to look over them and guess the age for each photo. I used letters as labels instead of numbers so that it didn’t get confusing when paired with the age guesses. I didn’t use a quiz sheet; I just gave the guests blank paper to write their guesses on. Then I gathered everyone up, went over the correct answers, and gave the winner a prize! Hope that helps!
